ORICoop Resilience & Recovery Fund

Since 2019 ORICoop has supported organic and biodynamic producers directly affected by catastrophic bushfires, damaging floods and natural disasters that have become more severe, more frequent, and more devastating for producers and businesses across the country.

Thanks to the generosity of many ORICoop has raised more than $500,000 including cash, in-kind and grants that has directly benefitted impacted producers over the past 4 years.  For many of these producers their recovery has only just begun, from burnt orchards, scorched soils, destroyed infrastructure and the ability to continue their organic enterprise. We endeavour to support each organic operator in their long journey towards recovery.  This includes a combination of these components depending on each growers needs:-

  • Mental health support
  • Biological inputs to restore soil health
  • Organic fodder (including transport)
  • On-farm support and most of all an ear when they need it.

We encourage you to get involved and help however you can. As we all navigate the severity of natural disasters that will impact our food security on a scale that has not been seen to this extent before.

Whether you are a producer with some additional organic hay or grain you could donate.  A volunteer that could help with some marketing expertise or business support. Or a business keen to donate directly to support these producers. We will ensure the help gets to where it has the most impact. And quickly.

Thanks to alliances like CERES and the Australian Mutual Fund who have provided support in the past.

** 100% of all funds are donated to organic growers that are registered with the Resilience Fund – that is overseen by the Bushfire Committee and reports to the ORICoop Board.

Support your farmers

You can support organic producers that have been directly impacted by the 2026 bushfires. We know first hand these businesses need support to recover that is tailored to organic business enterprises.  ORICoop provides tailored assistance that assists each organic grower in their recovery.

With our dedicated support, we give these producers hope.  Support them where they need it, from other growers who have been previously impacted.  An ear on the phone.  Our intention is to improve the resilience in producing healthy food following these extreme natural disaster events.  We need your help!
